The Energy Commission does not require submittal of information to the solar equipment lists as a condition for complying with Title 20 appliance efficiency standards or for installing equipment in California. Some utilities or local governments may use the Energy Commission’s solar equipment lists during their interconnection or permit application processes.

Note #1: Performance Based Incentive (PBI) meters meet program eligibility with certificate documenting accuracy to greater than 2%.
