Note #1: Grid support inverters are inverters that include advanced functionality and communication abilities and are commonly known as “smart inverters”. The Grid Support Inverter List includes information for solar and battery inverters. Note that inverters on the Grid Support Inverter List are capable of different levels of advanced functionality. It is important that you verify with the applicable utility, AHJ, or responsible entity whether a specific inverter contains the level of functionality required by their “smart inverter” definition. Information about advanced inverter functionalities can be viewed by exporting the list.
Note #2: Hybrid inverters are capable of taking DC power input from both a solar system and an energy storage system. These models are listed on both the solar and battery inverter lists to reflect the dual functionality. Refer to the manufacturer's documentation for more information on the exact functionality and limitations.
